A Conservative Libertarian opposing the Federal Imposition

Federal Reserve: Gold Standard and how far we have fallen

coins Today we are getting a treat. Instead of reading miles of my writing you get to watch some videos. I take no credit for these. I found them on a message board over at Conservative Punk. This stuff is good, it’s all on youtube and to follow the videos around you will get some good Ron Paul stuff and other great videos. These videos are a great history lesson on the United States and Financial irresponsibility that exists.

I hope you will all take the time to watch, seeing as how they are quite long compared to the average youtube video of some kid doing something stupid, or the Obama, and Hillary support videos of young people dancing and singing about having crushes and voting with their hormones instead of their minds.

Federal Intervention on TV: The Nanny State in Showbiz

Apparently it is the federal governments job to provide us with TV. It wasn’t enough that they wanted to step in an involve themselves with regulating the airwaves, now they will pay for your TV. This is more waste and out of control federal intervention that our government was not intended to be involved in. If you go to www.dtv2009.gov you can see this retro 70’s looking site where you can find out how to have the Federal Government help pay for your new digital tuner. This is a great example of how the Federal Imposition has reached way beyond it’s reasonable limits.

Bob Barr 2008: There is a real Choice!

Vote For Bob Barr 2008 Well it’s election year, and I am here to endorse the only candidate out there worth voting for. Between McCain, and Obama you are looking at big government with more spending verses big government with more spending and more taxes. It’s time to stand up to the tyranny of the two party system and vote for someone that can begin to peel away the layers of excess fat that our country is drowning in. It is time to make the right choice and vote for the one man who looks to truly change the broken system. Not the two who wish to continue on with more big budget spending perpetuating broken programs, and building onto a cracked foundation.

Farm Bill: American Socialism

The farm bill has been called a bipartisan bill. This statement is total rubbish. The fact that so many politicians from both of the imposing unconstitutional parties have sided so strongly on this bill is just another example of how capitalism is on its way out the door and we are living under the rule of a socialist democrat philosophy. The Economy is under a strangle hold from the Federal government that just won’t stop imposing itself on the people. Citizens seem to believe in concepts of freedom and low taxes but too many jump on the band wagon of bills like this that just seem to benefit a select few.

Social Insecurity: Irresponsible Waste Opposition of Social Security

47 million people received over $410 billion from social security in 2003. 1 The Economic Policy Institute likes to say that we have 38 to 40+ years of prosperity with Social Security if it is left how it is. Someone must have forgot about the Baby Boomers. Someone must have not taken into account inflation. I received a letter from the social security administration telling me how much I will benefit from Social Security. Now Seeing how I am turning 30 in 2008, and will not likely see retirement for another 30 to 40 years, even the best case mythical scenario we are given today will not give me anything when I reach the age of retirement.

A Radical Misunderstanding

A Libertarian you say? Oh you guys just want to legalize medical marijuana. No! I do not! I am not begging anyone to legalize Marijuana. I do not oppose legalization of many drugs, but that is a minimal belief in this Libertarians view points. I feel it is necessary for me to explain my stance on this and get it out of the way for good.

Thoughts on Liberty

Many men feel that their philosophy is correct. Many men feel that their mindset is the proper mindset, and many of these men will see reality as what they perceive and what has proven to be true in their perspective. Each man will see his self and space as precious and sacred. A person does not wish to be imposed upon by others. Plato states that “The absolute is in thought and all reality is in Thought.”(Brooke, Kenneth, 05). If the absolute reality is in thought then despite the level of thought and truth each man achieves, that level is his personal highest level of existence. This being so, each time one opposes another man and impose on this level of existence, we challenge his ultimate existence and bring in to question his very existence.
