Bondage? Corruption? Cop Killer was also released under the titles “Order of Death” and “Corrupt”. Punk Rock’s own Johnny Rotten from the Sex Pistols takes on Harvey Keitel. In this masterpiece of forgotten trash cinema. This may be pushing it on making it in the Grindhouses being released in the early 80’s, but the same quality and perfection is here. Cop Killer is a story that leaves me satisfied. We start off with a string of killings, cop killings, and Lt. Fred O’connor (Harvey Keitel) our main character.

Lt. O’Connor is a corrupt cop who gets involved with Leo, a young rich brat (John Lydon aka Johnny Rotten) who is a suspect in the murders.

O’Connor decides to take things into his own hands and takes Leo hostage. He is kept tied up in the bathroom and tortured. There are some great scenes in this with Harvey Keitel and Johnny Rotten. Truly worth the time watching. O’Connor finally decides to let Leo go.

Letting Leo go turns out to be a mistake when he walks back in to his life with dirt. Leo Returns to Ruin O’Connor’s life and play a great game of cat and mouse with him.If you decide to see a movie this weekend, I strongly recommend staying away from the piles of redundant stuff Hollywood is churning out, and give this classic a chance. You won’t regret it.

This is not Easy Rider, but it is Dennis Hopper. This is the story of tragedy, drugs, drunkenness, and punk.

It opens with Dennis Hopper as a Trucker drunk with his daughter Cebe in the Truck. He kills a school bus full of children and is put away leaving his daughter to grow up without him. The girl is obsessed with Elvis and the Sex Pistols. It has some great stuff that the Punks will like, as Cebe regurgitates old Sex Pistols lyrics and rants on, it may remind some of you of your youth.

She goes through the typical hell of her mother sleeping around with goons, and shooting up. Cebe seems to think that all will be better when her father is out of prison, but the opposite is true. When he re enters her life it just seems to get worse.

Hoppers jobs seem to go nowhere and Cebe is more abused than ever.

Cebe takes a spiral downward which ultimately ends in her death. It is overall a great one, and is better for old washed up punks I think than anyone.

Hopper is one of my favorite actors and directors, so if you want to see what makes him great then this is one to check out. Unlike his more current stuff like Speed, this is definitive hopper, possibly one of my favorite roles of his next to Frank Boothe in Blue velvet. In my opinion Out Of the Blue is a step above Easy Rider.

It’s great

A must see

The thing about butter is that it is everywhere. I ordered broccoli the other day and they put butter on it. It was just covered in butter. So many people are out there cooking their family dinner with it and getting their children addicted to it. It clogs your arteries, makes you gain weight, and can cause heart problems. Can you imagine how many butter related deaths are in this country every year? I propose a new law in this country. Since people like butter and will not give it up of their own free will I think we should make them suffer. First off I think it should be illegal to use butter at any restaurant. We can not outlaw it. Even though it is bad for us we can use it to make more money to push my agenda. First off we classify every heart problem and every case of high blood pressure and the fatal demise it can lead to a butter related death. We then begin to ostracize the pigs who eat it. If we can paint people who enjoy this thing that is not good for them as horrible individuals it makes it easier on us to tax them. We then make them pay to run ads and programs that oppose what they are for. What better way to handle the situation than to force someone who believes one way to pay to help the group that slanders them? Then we quadruple the price of butter. Hell why stop there? Let’s price a pound of butter at fifty dollars and that can go to help pin more deaths on the individuals that eat butter and also to pay for hospital bills of other people that eat butter. I am not happy to just avoid butter myself by going places that it is not at and by not using it myself. I want those that eat this swill to suffer also. It is my right and their right for me to be content with them not eating it in my presence. Everywhere I go should be butter free. I shouldn’t have to seek out some place free of butter and they shouldn’t be able to find establishments that allow butter.

Well, I hit these points of total genious where The stories flow out of me uncontrolably. Then I get to the point where it takes me aw week to write one fair page. Sometimes I have to work on it.

I find my biggest inspirations in comics to be things that have nothing to do with comics. My children Keep my juices flowing sometimes. I see things through their eyes or look at how they develop and it starts my gears turning. I see the t.v. shows they are most mesmorized by and it helps me see what attracts them to it.

Lazy Town. have you seen this show on nickelodeon? It is truly brilliant like the telletubbies it has vibrant colors simple paterns that are catchy to the eye and catchy tunes. Why not use elements of that design that captures the immagination of a child for an adult. We are at all times all the ages we have ever been in our life. So when we get angered or feel frustration we revert to the frustration of our two year old self. Why not be put into that state that mesmorized us as a two year old. It’s a similar concept I think that Tim Burton has put to use. I even see it a bit in David Lynch’s work.

I walk into a little diner and see a million phenominal characters for my next project. That old guy sipping his coffee with his purple heart WWII Vet hat on. The Young girl nursing her baby in the corner. The guy on the grill dreaming about sports or cars. There’s the Bag lady and the Construction worker sitting at the counter discussing the service and her grandchildren whose mother passed away from cancer. Each and every person has a story and each and every story is worth listening to at least a bit, you never know where your inspiration will come from.

I tend to write more scripts without intending to finish them or even use them. Sometimes as you’re looking back at old notebooks you find some idea that came to you that was forgotten and then you realize how genious an idea it truly was. I love it when I read an old piece of mine that I don’t even remember writing and it turns out to be good. Who knows It might all be pulled up later when I neeed that extra story and I’m at one of my dry spells.
